Description

Left of Centre is Emission Nebula IC5068 and to the right is IC5070 or otherwise called The Pelican Nebula so named due to its likeness to a Pelican, both of these objects lying at a mere distance of approximately 1800 light years from Earth.

A Hubble Palette process and a crop from 2 images being used in my much larger mosaic of this region. Data acquired from my amateur backyard observatory in Fremont, Michigan in July 2015 using a QHY11 Monochrome CCD/Takahashi E-180 with narrowband filters. 3.81x2.27 degrees of sky, original file size is 3708x2205.
